A Steadier Way Forward

Awendra exists to support women through hormonal change with honesty, care, and simplicity — so they can feel grounded in their bodies again.

Why Awendra began

For too long, women have been told to push through one of the most complex transitions of their lives.
When perimenopause and menopause arrive, many women are left feeling confused, dismissed, or quietly overwhelmed — even while doing everything they’re “supposed” to do.
Awendra was created to change that experience. We believe women deserve clear, compassionate support that respects what their bodies are actually going through — not pressure, judgment, or unrealistic expectations.
This stage of life isn’t a failure of effort. It’s a biological transition that deserves steadiness, not struggle.

Founders' Story: Our Story

Awendra started with two women, two countries, and a lot of 2am questions.

We're Ria and Marge — cousins, co-founders, and the two people behind everything you see here.

Ria's story: For a long time I thought I was losing my mind. I was anxious in a way I'd never been before. Exhausted but unable to sleep. Wired and tired at the same time. My moods were all over the place, my recovery from everything felt slow, and I genuinely started to wonder if something was seriously wrong with me.

Nobody talked about what I was going through. And when I finally figured out it was perimenopause and brought it to my doctor — I was dismissed. Not once, but by two different doctors.

That experience made me angry. Because I knew I couldn't be the only one.

Marge's story: I had a hysterectomy at 35. I kept my ovaries, so I was told I'd go through menopause naturally and not to worry about it. What I wasn't told was how it would actually feel.

The brain fog was the hardest. I couldn't focus. I was gaining weight, especially around my middle, no matter what I did. I was constantly fatigued and my sleep fell apart. I'm a certified menopause coach now — but back then, even I felt blindsided by my own body.

Why we built Awendra:

We kept having the same conversations across time zones — Marge in Las Vegas, me splitting my time between Canada and Spain. Voice notes back and forth at all hours about what was happening to us and how little support actually existed.

One day we just said it out loud: why don't we make the thing we wish we'd had?

Something honest. Something that doesn't talk down to women or promise miracles. Something we'd actually take ourselves.

So we did. That's Mind & Motion. And that's Awendra. We're not a big company. It's genuinely just us — two women who got tired of being told to push through, and decided to build something better instead.

Who we’re here for

Awendra is for women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and the years beyond — especially those who sense that something has shifted, even if they can’t fully explain it yet.

Women who feel less resilient than they used to

Women noticing changes in mood, focus,or emotional steadiness

Women who want support without pressure or intensity

Women who are tired of being told to “just push through”

You don’t need to be at a breaking point. You don’t need to justify what you’re feeling.

You’re allowed to seek support simply because things feel harder.

Why we created Mind & Motion

Mind & Motion was created as a daily anchor — a way to support mental clarity, emotional balance, and gentle physical resilience during hormonal transition.
It’s not designed to override your body.

It’s designed to work with it.

Mind & Motion reflects our belief that consistent, calming support can make a meaningful difference — not overnight, but over time.
Because real change doesn’t come from intensity.
It comes from steadiness.
